How to clean kitchen wall tiles

A kitchen is an area that can quickly get covered in layers of grease and grime that occur when cooking. Wiping down all the surfaces after use certainly helps keeping the grease at bay but sometimes it can build up in areas around that stove.

Daily cleaning with a squirt of dishwashing liquid, like Blendwell Chemicals Greendet, in a sink full of water can go a long way. Simply wipe down surfaces with a clean cloth that has been dipped in this solution.

For a deeper clean you may need to get more serious. The type of tiles that you have in your kitchen will determine how you clean them. Glass tiles will need extra care as they are very prone to scratching. You will need to use a soft cloth and be very gentle when rubbing. Glazed ceramics tiles can take a little more aggression but it is still better to not be too hard on them. Cleaning is made a great deal easier with grout that has been properly sealed. The dirt can then be wiped away and no heavy scrubbing is required. If the grout is not properly sealed it will stain really easily and you will be left with unsightly marks that penetrate through the grout and no matter how much you scrub the marks do not disappear. In this case, it is best to consider redoing the grout and sealing.

The quickest way of cleaning the tiles is to find a spray bottle and fill it with 50ml of Wac GP Cleaner and 450ml warm water. Spray this solution onto the tiles and leave for 5 minutes. At this point you should be able to simply wipe off any residue grease and dirt. If the grease is just too stubborn then add an extra 50ml of Wac GP Cleaner to your spray bottle, spray the area and leave for 5 minutes to activate. After removing all the grease wipe the area with a clean wet cloth to remove any left over chemical.
