How to clean an industrial oven - degreasers

In the industrial kitchen, cleaning is of paramount importance. Due to constant use, regular cleaning is vital. Industrial ovens often get coated in grease and oil as well as having the problem of completely burnt pieces of food stuck to the interior.
To clean an industrial oven, you can use a product like Blendwell Chemicals Alkali Cleaner. This cleaning chemical is caustic based and will do an excellent job of making your oven shine. Do not use Alkali Cleaner on domestic ovens or on self-cleaning ovens. When using this cleaning chemical be sure to always wear gloves and safety eyewear. In order to aid the cleaning power of this chemical it has been designed with a pH of around 12. This means that it should not come into contact with skin or eyes at all.
Mix 1 litre of Alkali Cleaner into 5 litres of water. Ideally you should use warm water. It is easiest to spray this solution onto the interior surfaces of your oven but you can also use a cloth to spread it on. Leave the solution to activate for about 20 minutes. After this time you should be able to wipe off with a cloth. If all the dirt has not been removed you can increase the concentration of the solution. Add another 50ml to your original solution. Repeat the process again. Be sure once the oven is clean that you wipe down the interior with a clean wet cloth to remove any chemical residue.
You would be able to buy Alkali Cleaner from Blendwell Chemicals in Johannesburg, South Africa. We are your local supplier. Please go to our website at www.blendwell.co.za for more information on all our cleaning chemicals.
