Who do we sell to?

Blendwell Chemicals is a cleaning chemical manufacturer based in Midrand, South Africa. We manufacture a huge range of cleaning chemicals and have ISO9001 certification.

We have positioned ourselves as a wholesaler and this means that we sell to those who resell. Some of the companies we supply are traders of our products. We supply our chemicals in packaging that has no branding so that our clients can put their own labels on with all their contact details.

We also supply cleaning products to contract cleaners who would use our cleaning chemicals in the course of their work.

We are also able to do own label manufacturing. This would involve us manufacturing cleaning products that would be packed into your own packaging. Typically we would manufacture this cleaning product using your own formulation. We are also able to help you with formulating a cleaning product if you do not yet have a formulation for your products.

We are able to offer fantastic technical back-up to our clients by means of technical documents and great advice with our solid and long-standing experience of the industry.

What is REACH?

REACH is an acronym for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical Substances. In 2007, this law was introduced in Europe as part of the European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use. REACH aims to identify chemical substances earlier to improve human health and the environment. As well as, improve competitiveness within the chemical industry.

REACH has intended that chemicals are stored and transported in a safe way and that information on safer chemical substitutes be more easily available. The Delphis Eco range of cleaning products complies with REACH and is now available in South Africa.

What we can do for you – Toll Manufacturing

Blendwell Chemicals has been manufacturing cleaning chemicals for 20 years. Charles Marais started Blendwell Chemicals in 1990. He brought with him 30 years of experience in the cleaning chemical manufacturing industry.  It was part of his vision to create a company that could focus on creating high quality, unique cleaning chemicals.

Part of this vision required doing some very specific formulating in order to meet customer needs. Some customers have their own formulations which Blendwell Chemicals manufactures for them. Confidentiality Agreements are signed between the parties and Blendwell Chemicals then produces these cleaning chemicals according to the customer’s specifications. Other clients know what they want their cleaning product to do but do not know how to make it. Blendwell Chemicals will them be able to create a formulation for that cleaning product.

The customer often arranges for specific branded packaging for these products to be packed into. This is usually called own label manufacturing. Blendwell Chemicals will be able to pack these cleaning products so long as the packaging sizes are similar to what Blendwell Chemicals already packs into. Generally this would be 5 and 25 litre sizes.

We are able to help you every step of the way. We have excellent formulating abilities to create the cleaning product you want and can give you the peace of mind that your products will always be made the way they’re supposed to be. We are SABS and ISO9001 certified.
