How to clean small machine parts using a hot soak tank cleaner

Hot soak tank cleaners are not as expensive to but as cold soak tank cleaners but they do require heating. This heating of the cleaning product require time and electricity which can cost you in the long run. It may be easier for you as storage of these cleaning products is not as complicated as cold soak tank cleaners.

If you have decided that a hot soak tank cleaner is the way to go and you have small engine parts to clean you could use a product like Bupi Cleaner. For small parts, simply mix the powder at the right ratio to water and heat up to 80 degrees Celsius. Once your solution has reached the required temperature, put the parts into the dip basket and gently lower the basket into the heated cleaning chemical. Leave for two hours. Remove and rinse thoroughly.

For larger engine parts, this cleaning product can also be used to spray on the items to be cleaned. This industrial cleaning product works well with most metals and has been designed to be gentler than some of our other soak tank cleaners.

How to clean small machine parts

Cleaning machine parts requires specialised cleaning chemicals. Machine parts are usually covered with a huge amount of grease which can be really difficult to get rid of. This is the ideal time to use one of Blendwell Cleaning Solutions cleaning chemicals. Blendwell Cleaning Solutions manufacture a large range of industrial cleaning products.

Small machine parts require a cleaning product like Turbo 55. This powerful solvent-based soak tank cleaner has been designed to clean carburettors, diesel pumps and other car and diesel parts. This industrial cleaning product is ideal for removal of epoxy, enamels and leaves carbon in a soft state for easy removal. The industrial cleaning chemical will need to have the machine parts dipped for 30 to 60 minutes. After dipping, it will be necessary to rinse thoroughly with water before working on it.

How to clean machine parts - cold soak tank cleaners

If you have decided to clean using a cold method of soak tank cleaner then you have opted to use a solvent based cleaning product in your workshop. Blendwell Cleaning Solutions manufactures a couple of different types of soak tank cleaners and Black Turbo was created to work as a cold soak tank cleaner.

Because this industrial cleaning product is mostly made from solvents it can easily evaporate. We have made ours with a water seal to help prevent evaporation. It is still important to store this product correctly to ensure its longevity. Black Turbo is very effective on epoxy and enamels but also works well on carbon, grease and paint. This cleaning product is ideal for when you need to clean larger engine parts. You would need to have a large drum of Black Turbo and a dip basket that can be gently lowered into the exposed industrial cleaning product. The parts to be cleaned should remain in the solvent for anywhere from 20 minutes to two hours – depending on your parts to be cleaned. Once removed from the cleaning chemical you will need to rinse thoroughly with water before painting or working on your machine parts.

Industrial Cleaning - Soak Tank Cleaners - Powder 235

When choosing a soak tank cleaner it is important to select the right one for the job you have in mind. Your budget may help you decide what type of soak tank cleaner to go for as well as your facilities. A cold tank cleaner is more expensive initially but has low running costs and does not require specialised heating equipment.

Powder 235 is a powder that is diluted in water between 10 and 15%. The solution then needs to be heated to around 80 degrees Celsius. When the temperature has been reached the parts to be cleaned can be submerged in the dip basket and left for as long as necessary.  Remove when clean and rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Powder 235 is not recommended for aluminium, bronze, brass or other special alloys. Powder 235 does work on all ferrous metals.

Industrial Cleaning - Soak Tank Cleaners - Bupi Cleaner

Blendwell Chemicals manufactures a range of cleaning chemicals for industrial cleaning. One of the soak tank cleaners that we manufacture is Bupi Cleaner and this chemical requires a high temperature for cleaning effectively.

This industrial cleaner works well as a soak tank cleaner for small engine parts as well as being able to spray it onto engines using a high pressure cleaner called a bupi gun. Bupi Cleaner works well with most metals but is not as strong as some of the other soak tank cleaners we manufacture. This cleaning chemical can struggle a little when stripping paint but is also not as harsh on the metal being cleaned.

When using as a soak tank cleaner, mix the white powder with water and heat up to 80 degrees Celsius. Place parts into a metal basket and gently lower the basket into the solution. Leave in place for 2 hours and remove and rinse thoroughly. This cleaning chemical can also be sprayed onto parts to be cleaned.

For more information on this industrial cleaning chemical please visit our website at www.blendwell.co.za/Industrial_Cleaning_Chemicals. We have a factory in Midrand, South Africa and we are your local cleaning chemical supplier

This cleaning chemical is ideal for use in a small tank. Items to be cleaned will need to be dipped for 30-60 minutes and rinsed thoroughly with clean water afterwards.
