How to clean lights in your kitchen

Lights in the kitchen areas are easy to ignore when it comes to cleaning your kitchen. Slowly over time they get covered in general kitchen grime and the room actually starts to get darker. It’s important to give the lights in your kitchen a clean every few months to avoid that horrible grease build up.
First things first, switch off the lights. If your lights are inset into the ceiling then it will be important to regularly wipe these lights with a slightly damp cloth. Immediately wipe with a dry cloth. If your lights have covers that can be removed, then do so. The glass and metal parts can then be cleaned thoroughly.

Do not allow water to touch any electrical parts. Light cleaning may not work on these parts. Mix a solution of 50ml of Blendwell Chemicals Wac GP Cleaner in 5 litres of water.
Wipe or spray the solution onto the parts to be cleaned and leave for 5 minutes. Then wipe off with a soft cloth and do a final wipe with a clean cloth. If this does not work then add another 50ml of Wac GP Cleaner and allow to soak for an extra 10 minutes.
Be sure to wear gloves while cleaning kitchen lights. Also do not use any rough sponges or scouring pads as you may scratch the metal or glass that you are trying to clean.
