Industrial Cleaning - Soak Tank Cleaners

Cleaning in an industrial environment can be a very complicated process. First, you will need to assess the level of dirt, grease and grime you need to clean. Typically, in an industrial environment like a factory or workshop there is an excessive amount of grease and oil to deal with. Parts will regularly need to be cleaned before they can be worked on or refitted to engines.
There are two ways to do soak tank cleaning. You can use a solvent based chemical or you can use a water-based chemical.

A solvent based cleaning chemical is expensive to purchase in the first place however it’s running costs are dramatically less and can save you money in the long term. If correctly stored and used the cleaning chemical could last as long as five years. This cleaning chemical can evaporate so it needs to be properly covered and sealed when not in use.  Blendwell Chemicals has made all of their solvent soak tank cleaners to have a water layer on top to help prevent evaporation. This water layer acts as a water seal.

A water-based soak tank cleaner is not expensive to buy but costs a lot to use. It would need to be heated to 70 degrees Celsius and that alone can take 3 hours. The temperature must be maintained for as long as parts are soaking which could be up to 2 hours. Realistically you would be looking at about 5 hours of electrical heating which with rising electricity costs can become really expensive very fast.
